Legislative Committee
Purpose of Committee:
The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to review any proposed legislation which relates to the duties of Town/City Clerks. The Committee will make recommendations to the Executive Board as to whether the Association should support or oppose specific legislation. The Committee works closely with the Association’s lobbyist and keeps the Executive Board informed of the progress of proposed legislation through the process. When necessary, the Committee solicits clerks to testify at the various hearings on the proposed legislation. The First Vice President shall serve as an ex-officio member of this committee.
